On 19 June 2026, TAFTAC, in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland and WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production), organized a workshop on “Responsible Production & Sustainability: Challenges, Opportunities, and the Way Forward” in Phnom Penh.
The workshop was attended by 33 participants, including representatives from several TAFTAC member factories and companies. The session provided participants with a better understanding of WRAP’s services, auditing procedure, certification requirements, and the procedures for obtaining WRAP certification.
In addition, the workshop discussed the evolving social compliance landscape, with particular focus on the latest regulatory developments in the United States and the European Union regarding forced labor prevention and enforcement.
TAFTAC Mr. Kaing Monika, Deputy Secretary General, also shared the industry snapshot and highlighted key challenges facing the textile, apparel, footwear, and travel goods sectors through his presentation, providing participants with valuable insights into current market conditions and industry trends.
